Mumentous TLTR Cultural Heritage Panel Exhibit at Carrollton Public Library through October 31, 2026

Visit the Josey Ranch Lake Library this fall to view MUMENTOUS and explore the big, bold traditions of high school homecoming mums in Texas.

MUMENTOUS is a 40-panel exhibition about the unique and complex history of homecoming mums, beginning in the early 1900s through today’s highly-varied practices. The exhibit’s panels cover a number of topics including the emergence of high school football, fan and pop culture, the DIY movement, entrepreneurship, and women as tradition-keepers. The Carrollton Public Library’s curation of the exhibit also includes memorabilia from all three local high schools.
