Authentic Texas: What Barbie taught me about homecoming mums in Texas
The Barbie doll of my childhood will always be the stereotypical kind to me. All the Barbies that came before and after remind me of her, but never the other way around. I imagine this is true for every child who loved any particular toy. That toy will always be Day One, even if its manufacturing date was decades after the first release. Did it just hit you like it hit me? Homecoming mums are exactly like Barbie.
